Imagine Math | The Story of the Four Operations | Waldorf Inspired Homeschool
COURSE DESCRIPTION
👓 There are eight video lessons of approximately 30 minutes each and four practice worksheets. Your child will be engaged through a variety of activities. Advance at your own pace!
🌞 This class will introduce young learners to different perspectives on math. It will tap into their imagination as they explore fundamental math concepts and develop flexibility in thinking. Children are drawn into the world of math as they resonate with the stories and their lively characters!
🌟 The “Imagine Math” course is a creative way to work with the four early-stage math operations. Introducing the four operations as a whole allows the children to see how they are all related.
🤸♀️ Each class begins with songs, verses, counting and movement. This will help the children feel fully awake and enthusiastic, and keep them motivated throughout class. The children will then listen to short adventure stories of the four math gnomes. The stories include word problems or “number journeys” which inspire the basic arithmetic exercises. Every one of the gnomes embodies a math operation which goes hand in hand with its distinct comical personality. The young learners will have an opportunity to put into drawings what they learn from the gnomes.

REVIEWS FROM PARENTS
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My six-year-old son LOVED this class. He took every lesson several times because he enjoyed each class so much. He loved doing the drawings and hearing the story of the four operation gnomes. The stories, movement, and implementation of math through imagination really engaged my son. We will be signing up for the next class! As the parent I wish all learning could be done through story, movement and imagination in the way that Ms. Karin so eloquently displayed in her classes.
